DAY ONE; ARRIVAL
Your unforgettable safari adventure begins in Nairobi with a warm welcome and meet-and-greet session by your professional safari guide, who will introduce you to the wonders that await in Kenya. After a short briefing, you’ll depart by road for Amboseli National Park, a scenic drive of approximately 230 kilometers that takes about 4 to 5 hours. Along the way, enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley, small towns, and the occasional wildlife sighting. Upon arrival at your lodge in Amboseli around midday, you’ll check in at Sentrim Amboseli and enjoy a relaxing lunch while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding plains.
Afternoon
Embark on your first game drive through the park’s expansive savannah, where large herds of elephants roam beneath the towering presence of Mount Kilimanjaro. You’ll also have the opportunity to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and a wide array of bird species before returning to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day Two; Full Day Game Drive
The second day is dedicated to a full-day exploration of Amboseli National Park. After an early breakfast, you’ll head out for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. You’ll traverse various ecosystems, from marshlands to dry lakebeds, visiting key areas such as Observation Hill where you will have your lunch, which offers panoramic views of the park and Kilimanjaro on a clear day. Throughout the day, expect to encounter large elephant families, hippos wallowing in swamps, and predators stalking the open plains. In the late afternoon, return to the lodge for some relaxation, followed by dinner and another peaceful night surrounded by nature.
Day Three; Amboseli National Park to Tsavo East National Park
On the third day, after breakfast and check-out, you’ll travel to Tsavo East National Park, covering a distance of about 155 kilometers in approximately 3 to 4 hours. Tsavo East is one of Kenya’s largest and most iconic wildlife sanctuaries. As you make your way through the park’s scenic terrain, dotted with acacia trees and the signature red earth, you head toward your accommodation—Sentrim Tsavo Lodge. Nestled just a short distance from the park’s Voi Gate, the lodge offers an authentic safari experience with a touch of modern comfort. Upon check-in, you’re greeted with a warm welcome and refreshing drink. The lodge features spacious, en-suite tents that seamlessly blend rustic charm with contemporary amenities including hot showers, a private veranda, a swimming pool, a bar, and a restaurant offering both local and international cuisine. After settling in, you enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at the lodge’s open-air dining area, where the panoramic view of the savannah might treat you to sightings of elephants or zebras in the distance.
In the late afternoon, you embark on your first game drive through the vast plains of Tsavo East. The park is famous for its “Red Elephants,” so named because of the red dust they bathe in, as well as lions, buffaloes, giraffes, and a wide variety of birdlife. Your experienced guide navigates through the park’s winding tracks, pointing out wildlife and explaining the unique ecosystem that makes Tsavo so special. As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and gold, you return to Sentrim Tsavo for a well-earned evening rest. You might relax by the poolside or sip a drink at the bar before enjoying a hearty dinner under the stars.
Day Four; Departure
The following morning, you wake to the sounds of nature and enjoy a leisurely breakfast while taking in the peaceful ambience of the surrounding bush.
